A fitted diaper is a cloth diaper that is designed to fit your baby without any folding or
pinning. They are not waterproof and therefore typically require a diaper cover.
However, they can be worn without a cover. This works well if you are practicing
Elimination Communication (Infant Pottying) or are helping your toddler use the toilet.
Fitted diapers typically use elastic, and either aplix (works like velcro) or snaps to ensure
the diaper has both a comfortable and leak-free fit.
Prefold diapers are the most economical way to diaper your baby. We carry only high
quality unbleached Diaper Service Quality (DSQ) prefolds. Our prefold diapers are soft,
flat diapers that may be folded in thirds and layed inside a snug fitting cover, or folded
and fastened with a Snappi Cloth Diaper Fastener. Prefolds are great because you can
customize them to a perfect fit for your baby.
While pocket diapers and AIOs are great for their ease of use and stay-dry properties,
fitted diapers and prefolds are wonderful because they are typically made of natural
fibers, such as bamboo, hemp or cotton. You also have flexibility on what type of cover
you can put over the fitted diapers. We carry fleece, wool, and polyester covers.
