Information

Diaper covers are usually required unless you are using pocket diapers or AIOs. Unless
soiled, diaper covers can be used many times before washing. They can be hung to air
dry between uses by rotating two covers throughout the day.
We carry a range of covers in different textiles. From Polyurethane Laminate (PUL) to
fleece and wool, we've got you covered.
PUL is a laminate coating which is typically applied over a polyester or cotton material to
make the cover leak proof and waterproof. These covers are machine washable and can
go in the dryer. They are lightweight, breathable and will not harden or crack over time.
Wool is a wonderful material for a diaper cover. It is very breathable, has antibacterial
properties and can absorb up to 30% of its weight. Wool fibers are water repellent
because of the naturally occurring lanolin. Wool covers are a great choice if you are
looking for an all natural diapering choice, or for nighttime use because they breathe so
well. Wool does need to be hand washed, but because of its antibacterial properties, it
only needs washing every 1-2 weeks, or if it has been soiled. To maintain water repellent
property, the natural lanolin will need to be restored about every 2 weeks. Simply add
this to your hand wash soak and the water repellent property will be restored.
Fleece is also a great choice if you are looking for a breathable, soft, cozy and
lightweight cover. It can be machine washed and dried, and is therefore easier to care for
than a wool cover. Fleece covers are fantastic for keeping your baby's tush at the right
temperature.
