Information
This program is available to Greater Vancouver residents.  We started this program because a
lot of parents are skeptical about cloth diapering.  I had similar feelings before I started cloth
diapering too!   But, everyone we know who has started cloth diapering absolutely loves it!  You
get a great feeling from knowing that you’re helping the environment.   There are other benefits
to cloth diapering too.   Cloth diapers are healthier for your baby.   Many parents find that using
cloth diapers reduces diaper rash (due to all the chemicals and poor air flow in disposable
diapers).   Also cloth diapering saves money!  Investing in cloth diapers allows you to save
money in the long run as disposable diapers and wipe costs significantly add up over time!

So here’s the scoop on the program:

This program allows you to test out a variety cloth diaper types for a week or two.   This takes
the guess work out of buying cloth diapers for your first time.

For a small fee, $20 a week, you get to try out cloth diapering.  This is not much more than you’
d spend on disposable diapers and wipes for a week.  When the diaper kit is returned in
satisfactory condition, we’ll give you a
$10 credit to our store ($75 min purchase).  If you like
your cloth diapering testing experience, then you can start purchasing your own diaper stash.

A fully refundable deposit equal to the retail price of the diaper kit is required. You can submit
this deposit via a post-dated cheque and we will return it to you once the diapers are back to us
in satisfactory condition.

What is included in the $20 per week fee?

-        A variety of cloth diaper types
-        Cloth wipes
-        A wipe sprayer (Because of babies sensitive skin, we recommend you making your own
wipe solution by mixing a small amount of your baby's soap with water to put into the wipe
sprayer, or just use water for easy clean-ups)
-        A laundry bag for storing your dirty diapers
-        A small waterproof wet bag to store your diapers in when you’re on the go
-        Laundry detergent
-        Full washing instructions

**Note:  We provide 12 diapers in our kit.  Cloth diapering parents usually purchase between 12
and 24 diapers for their diaper stash.   I've been happy to rotate 16 diapers for my daughter.   It
all depends on personal preference for laundering.  The more you buy the less often you have to
wash them.  With 12 diapers you're washing the load every 1.5 days or so, depending on how
heavy a wetter your babe is.

How do I sign up?

Please email us at info@backtonaturebabystore.com if you are interested in using this service.
Please mention the weight of your baby, when you'd like to try the kit, and how long you’d like
to try it for.  Expectant Moms can also reserve a kit early.  After you email us, we will contact
you and make arrangements for you to pick up the kit.  Pick-up location is typically in Port
Moody, unless special arrangements are made.

More details….

Is this sanitary?

Definitely!   We require the diapers to be returned to us clean.  After the diapers are returned to
us, we follow a strict washing routine to prepare them for the next family.  The diapers, wipes,
and tote bag are first washed using the hot water cycle with laundry detergent.  Then they're put
through another wash cycle with vinegar.  Lavender oil is used in an extra rinse for its fresh
scent and anti-fungal properties.  The diaper kit is then put in the dryer on the hot setting to
destroy any lingering germs.   This washing routine ensures that all germs and bacteria are
eliminated from the kit.

What happens if part of the kit is damaged or lost?

You will simply pay the replacement cost of the damaged or lost diaper.  However, if the diaper
is damaged to due normal wear and tear, you will not be held responsible for the damages.

Now that you have all the details, you're all set to try out our kit!

Feel free to contact us at info@backtonaturebabystore.com if you have
