Pocket diapers are made of an outer shell of waterproof material and an inner layer of
microfleece that wicks moisture away from your baby’s skin. There is an opening
between the two layers called the “pocket”, where you add an absorbent insert. You can
choose from a variety of inserts to stuff into the pocket. While the most common
material for the insert is microfiber or hemp, you can also use pre-fold diapers.
Pocket diapers are slim fitting and can be stuffed with more or less inserts depending on
how heavy a wetter your baby is, or for use during nighttime. Since the insert is
removed from the pocket diaper during washing, these diapers dry quickly.
